The best presents are the ones that you didn’t ask for. The unexpected ones that someone gives you are SO perfect and SO wonderful because they took the time to think about it and get you something that they know you would really like. It is pretty easy to just get any old thing (although judging by the lack of love you guys are showing me and my request for movies and music, maybe it isn’t so easy, sigh). What’s really special is when you care enough about someone that you want to really surprise them with something they maybe don’t even know they need.

I just got back from the UPS Store. There were 3 boxes. All from my love, Doctor D. A small one, which seemed rather interesting so I opened that one first. Right in the car, parked in front of the store where you aren’t supposed to park. Heh. I have a really cute girlie pink swiss army knife dangling from my keys that I use. Anyway the little box had 2 nail polishes, yay, I love nail polishes! Then there was a larger one and a regular sized one. I opened the larger one next and that one had my label maker in it! Yay again! I am a little weird maybe, but I like to be organized and stuff so I am going to enjoy that thing a lot. And then there was the last box. I opened it and… didn’t recognize the contents. Not something that was on my list, hmm, what is this?

Well, if you follow along here and pay attention when I ramble (like my beloved so clearly does), then you know that I not only have a weird fixation on labelmakers, but I am also convinced that my tires are always low and in need of air. Inside this plain, average sized box, was the GREATEST GIFT EVER — a cute little tire gauge! Yes, tire gauge. Not only did he wish to take care of me and help me not worry about the stupid tires, but he did so all on his own. It gets even better though because it is also PINK and it is also a KEY CHAIN. Two of my favorite things!

I may seem a little bit excited about a COOL PINK TIRE GAUGE KEY CHAIN(!!), but it isn’t just any old tire gauge. It is special because he thought about me and what I needed and took care of it. And he obviously took the time to find the coolest one possible for me – pink AND a keychain – did I mention that?

That is the love.

And this is one of the best gifts I’ve ever received.

I love it and I love him. Mmm.

Honestly, I gush over him anyway because he is just so yummy and makes me happy in other ways too like, for example, sending me a good morning email because he knows I like that. Sweet, sweet, sweet. And, of course, I enjoy our dirty conversations (and our not dirty conversations) so much, but it really does make me feel extra special when I know I have presents on the way. I am a very lucky girl.

Yay! Much to my delight, I have been spoiled yet again by dirty Doctor D! I can’t even begin to tell you how ecstatic that makes me! This time I’ll be getting the 3 “highest priority” items from My Wishlist! What an unexpected and totally wonderful surprise!

Once again I can’t stop gushing about it – it is really is soooo sweet.
